Amenities such as a pool should have a lifeguard on duty. Some small mishaps can occur that can bruise you or give you bumps and it is good that you have a first aid kit in your rental. It is good to read online reviews from previous visitors in that vacation rental so you will know if the visitors were satisfied with the place or not. If you have a checklist of important safety items then you can perhaps request it from the property manager.
